The highlight was when the students performed their traditional Kachin dance on stage. It was a great way to share more about Myanmar's beautiful and diverse culture. Best of all the students and teachers had a chance to visit over 40 countries in one day! They enjoyed themselves visiting all the other countries' booths, sampling the food and finding out more about the culture. Maybe some of them might get resettled in those countries one day...
This blog is dedicated to the Myanmar refugees living in Malaysia especially to the Kachin people whom I volunteer with. Myanmar is a beautiful country but what's going on there is unimaginable. Life in Malaysia isn't much better yet they wait patiently hoping they will one day be relocated to another country. With this blog I hope to raise awareness on their situation and find compassionate folks who are willing to help them.
